Patricia Li When we are going through the lows in life, it often happens that we lose sight of our drive and intentions. Having realised and observed how difficult times can create self-doubt and lead to further turmoils, Patricia Li has resolved to use every day to bring joy to the people immediately around her and beyond. She believes in the power of pause and the benefit of reflection to build healthy perceptions of ourselves. Her mission is to encourage people to acknowledge their individual, unique mix of talents, values and abilities and believe in their ability to contribute these to the world. She also believes in strength in numbers, which shows up most when she is connecting with others and provides the platform for others to connect with each other. This philosophy of living and sharing joy began as an appreciation for the beautiful, from fabrics to nature, from make-up to architecture, and blossomed into a deep interest in health and aesthetics. Patricia would share her knowledge of better living with others including health and beauty, pursuing formal certifications in Makeup, Esthetic therapy, Personal Enhancement and Grooming from Amorepacific, Korea. She shares expertise this through her work at LANEIGE, established in Brunei since 2005, as both trainer and corporate grooming consultant. Among her clients are banks (SCB, Baiduri, BIBD), corporates (RBA, RBAF, RBC, TelBru and JPMC) and hotels. Patricia also extends her reach as special guest on radio, judge on talent shows and other competitions and even personally groomed performers for stage productions and performances including the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, USA. Patricia is happiest when collaborating with others and she does this in both small and large scales through partnerships such as the Health and Breast Awareness campaigns which was a joint effort with the Bruneian Ministry of Health and organising an interschool musical competition for four years running from 2010 to 2013 together with the Ministry of Education. Her concern also extends globally and she regularly participates in volunteer work in Nepal, Tibet, India and Loas. In more recent times, Patricia with few other individuals have come together to promote and encourage the reduction of single-use plastic consumption, calling the movement to promote environmental awareness in Brunei. The group has performed many innovative activities including large scale beach cleanup and outreach programmes in both schools and in the public space. Patricia Li graduated with a degree Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK and ferries from her native Hong Kong to Brunei Darussalam.
