Ambrose Nathan

After obtaining his Economics degree from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales. In 2010 he obtained his fellowship of the Institute. He worked in various countries for the last 30 years including United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. He was partner in a UK accountancy practice and held directorships in a number of companies. He eventually branched out as a business consultant and worked a number of years in corporatization, merger and acquisition roles including acting as a receiver and liquidator whilst employed by Price Waterhouse, Malaysia. He also served as the Finance Director of an oil palm refinery which became the second biggest single refinery in Malaysia. He has been involved in the security Industry for a total of 16 years in the capacity of Finance Director, Regional Financial Controller in Asia based in Hong Kong. For 10 years as the Country Manager and Director of G4S Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd where he built up Brunei's leading man security and cash management services provider and Brunei first secure storage facility. He also completed a 3 year contract to lead the Finance and Admin team of the International School Brunei in his role as CFO and undertook the project management of the finance and construction of the new school buildings. In 2012 together with Jenifer Tan, he set up BizAdvize Services Sdn Bhd ,a business and finance consultancy. The list of services are in the company website , www.bizadvize.biz . He also worked in collaboration with the BEDB in relation to Management Consultancy for iCenter and Ministry of Industries and Primary to provide financial advisory services, training and mentorship to SMEs, start- ups and Cooperatives. Currently also serving on the board of a number of companies including as an adjunct assistant professor at UBD under School of Business and Economics
